Yes, this is true in my case. I withdraw my paypal funds in just one day! So I’m sharing to all online entrepreneur out there how I did it. I don’t know if it’s a mistake or what but I’ve done it. I hope it will work to all who have UnionBank’s Eon Cyber Card (Debit Card).

I’ve used Unionbank’s Eon Cyber Card, which is a debit card, to verify my paypal account before. Since I don’t really like applying for credit card, I just use a debit card.

Here’s the proof of my July 19, 2009 withdrawal from paypal to my bank.
My paypal withdrawal proof

Now here’s my proof in my account in Union Bank of the Philippines – Eon Cyber Card that I’ve checked online that I got my paypal funds transferred in one day!
My withdrawal in paypal to my bank account in 1 day!

Here is the screenshot of the whole control panel of my bank and as you can see the money are credited to me on July 20, 2009.

Here are the complete images for full viewing pleasure :)

How did that happened? I thought withdrawing funds to Eon Cyber Card cost $5???

Okay, so I will explain the hole of the process. Go to Withdraw and you will see this page.

Paypal Withdraw Page

There are two options:

  • Withdraw to your bank account
  • Withdraw to your card

Take note that it doesn’t matter what type of card, either debit card (the eon) or any other debit card/credit card, you used to verify your paypal. The system is fixed at $5 upon using your card to withdraw funds.
Don't use withdraw to card, it will be $5

If you haven’t added your Eon Cyber Card yet to your bank account profiles. Go to Profile > Add/Edit Bank Account:

How to add Bank Account in Paypal

Fill up the details, make sure you put the correct details or your money will not be send to you and you will have to pay 250 php for return fee. That’s almost the same as $5!!
Procedure of Adding Bank account info in paypal
You can also see in the image the bank name and the bank code of Unionbank. For clarity, use the info below:
Bank Name: UNION BANK OF THE PHILS (UBP)
Bank Code: 010419995

After adding the profile, go back to “Withdraw” and choose “Withdraw to your bank account”.
Withdraw your funds to you eon now!
Then you are all set, everything you withdrew will be transferred to your bank account in UnionBank. The 50 pesos fee will not be included if you are withdrawing 7,000 above. Review the top of this post and you will see the same detaisl upon withdrawing in paypal. All you have to do is cross fingers, and wait for the funds tomorrow in your unionbank.

If you haven’t enrolled your Eon Cyber Card to their website for online banking needs. Go to UnionBank’s website. If this works on you also, care to leave a comment as a proof that this works also on you. Good luck guys!

I just want to be sure,

Instead of clicking the “Withdraw funds to your card” to withdraw thru EON CARD, I should click “Withdraw funds to your bank account” then enter my EONCARD ACCOUNT NUMBER
in the “Account number::” (1-16 digits) space provided in the “Add a bank account in Philippines” form?

    Thanks!

Yes, that is correct. You just add a bank profile using your EonCard Account Number. I have used this method twice already.

Regardless if I withdraw through credit card or through bank account, I’ll still get the money right? Because I tried to do it first hours earlier through withdraw from credit card and then I stumbled upon your article so I withdraw again, this time through bank account.

Yes, the only difference is that you don’t have to pay $5 bucks if you use withdraw to bank and that’s one of the main points of this post.

I’m just wondering what number will i use for the account number if my account with unionbank is a savings account. I have the usual account number then I also have the 16 digits card number in my atm card.

I’d like to find out Cynthia,

If your unionbank atm savings card have mastercard, visa or american express…

If your unionbank atm savings card have the 3-digit code (this can be alphanumeric, my wife’s BDO savings atm card have letter in it e.g. B07)

If your unionbank atm savings card have expiry date at the back of the card.

Let us know it works out for you.

A lot of people does :)

The atm card works just like a regular credit card (with visa logo, expiry and cvc) except that any amount will be automatically deducted from my account everytime i use it. So if i want to enrol my account in paypal for bank withdrawal, do i need to enter the atm card number (16 digits) or the savings account number? Many thanks :-)

Hmm I can’t tell exact (lazy to check paypal at the moment) just do the withdraw bank process. It will ask if it needs the card number…

Best regards and hope to keep us updated :)

I believe it will be asked (the card number)

Just follow my guide here and you will be all set.

Then my theory was right, BDO savings atm will work out just fine then. :)

Thanks for keeping us updated. The deduction should just be the same, if you withdraw less than 7k then $1 will be deducted.

Maybe you were mentioning about bank fees (misc. deductions), in the long run you can add an eon cyber card to withdraw to card if you want deductions like mine.

    Best regards

Hi, I just got my eon card from Unionbank. There are two sets of numbers on the card, the upper portion (16 digit) and the lower portion (12 digits). If I will add the withdraw to bank account on paypal, do i type the upper portion numbers or the lower portion numbers? Thanks in advance!

Hi, I followed the instructions properly on how to link my EON cyber card to paypal and made sure that the information on both paypal and EON are the same. I have also followed the instructions on how to withdrew money ($200) from paypal to my bank account on Sunday (Nov. 29, 2009). The transaction status on paypal was completed but when I looked into my bank statement, the money has not been credited until now. Any advise whether I should panic now or just wait for several days to see whether my money will be credited to my account? Please help.

Indeed odd, I just withdrew a paypal fund from December 2, completed yesterday and now transferred to my eon account just now.

    If nothing happened till Monday:

    1. Go to a Union Bank Branch (most local branch can’t help you )

    2. Call Union Bank via the following numbers:

    * +632 84186 (24 hour customer support)
    * 1800-1888-2277 (Domestic Toll Free) – impossible to get through :(
    * IAC-800-8277-2273 (Universal Toll Free)

    3. Send Unionbank an email

    * electron@unionbankph.com

Try emailing them, I get a quick response just this morning. I went to the branch regarding the Transaction Password (TXN Password) Problem and the branch will gladly give you a way to call them for free if you in a provincial area.

If paypal says completed, its Okay! Unfortunately it might be at the end of Unionbank, this happens if you pick to withdraw during holidays (our holidays). If you to consider Unionbank PH being affected by holidays.

Please give us the good word if you manage to get your funds to your Unionbank.

    Happy Banking!

Will definitely update you. I have a very long patience but this time I am afraid I’m loosing it. I just hope that the guys from Unionbank will help me. I have already sent a message to them yesterday but still no reply until today. I have heard that they have bad customer support. I live in Davao City, by the way.

I suggest you go to a branch first, then ask them if you can call customer support from their office so you can get full assistance. Yes, I heard that too that they have bad customer support so I decided to go to a branch first. Then I think this speeds up their email response since I’m queued for password reset request.

Ironically, today is Friday and I don’t know if they have business hours tomorrow. I’m thinking to shift to BDO since BDO have banking hours in SM Malls.

If you had holidays the past few days, maybe this slows down your paypal to eon transaction.

I did have this long withdrawal when Pres. Macapagal Arroyo gave us looong holidays, I just don’t remember when was that… but it was this year :)

Now that you have mentioned it, I did withdraw the money on November 29 (Sunday) and the following day was a holiday (National Heroes Day, i think). Probably this might the reason. However, I am still not taking any chances. Thanks for the post. It made me feel much better now. I will update you the following week.
