Okay, I just heard this and checked in google if its true and omg! It’s true. Another good event for the Philippines and fortunately we are close to the equator, so filipinos are able to witness.

An article from wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solar_eclipse_of_July_22,_2009 said that this will be the longest total solar eclipse in the 21st century. The wonderful event of the moon covering the sun, and the moon will look like being crowned by a gold ring around her occuring today July 22, 2009 and I was not able to see. Waaaah!

I was amazed that I’m not aware of this, too bad I was not able to witness the event. A forumer of tipidpc, nardz was able to capture the moment in QC. Regards to you nardz even I haven’t talked to you :) I’m always a lurker in tipidpc.
